About
We're Building Something Between The Audience And The Performance.
"We are taking the best elements of an audience and performer relationship and creating something new," said Brandon Bill, Co-Founder.
Curiosity Consortium is an immersive event company founded to bring people back into connection with one another. Log off. Come outside. Join us.
We build worlds worth leaving the house for. Inhabit them alongside other actual humans and see life a little differently on the way out.
Curiosity Consortium is a counter-cultural force designed to hold back the machine and lift the community: travel through place and time, and encounter fictional stories made real by our shared presence. Let's play together.
Founders Brandon Bill and Jeff Jablonski met at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley in the school's music program and remained friends after graduation. They started Curiosity Consortium because they believe the world needs more things that bring people together, a way to escape and connect with each other, built on formats people already recognize, taken somewhere they haven't been.
Our values
Focus On Experience
The show starts before you arrive. Proper care and planning are invisible, but invaluable.
Human Over Algorithm
Live actors. Hand-typed, free-range, artisanal scripts. Improvisation and adaptation.
Togetherness
Events are designed to create shared experience. Come as strangers, leave as fellow travelers.
The Team
Every Curiosity Consortium show gets built by two very different instincts working in tandem with each other. One of them has spent his career directing, designing, and performing professionally; the other calls himself the normie, a former opera singer who traded the stage for a corporate day job and somehow ended up back here. If he can hold his own at villain training, you definitely can.
Brandon Bill
Brandon and Jeff met at the University of Northern Colorado, both starting out in the music program. Brandon went on to work in arts education before moving into professional theater full-time as a director, music director, and designer. He can act, direct, and design a villain's lair without instructions. At Curiosity Consortium, he's currently focused on casting, the look and feel of the space, and the performance side of things.
Jeff Jablonski
Jeff met Brandon at UNC's music program too, though these days he describes his own path as "opera singer turned corporate tech guy." He's the one who asks the questions a first-timer would ask, before a first-timer has to, which turns out to be a pretty good way to build something for people who've never done this before. He brings deep technical and business experience to Curiosity Consortium and is currently focused on the operational side of the company, while story and game design happen as an equal partnership with Brandon.
